The new PATAM Card Scheme launched 6 November 2018

Reference Point, the UK’s market-leading competency management technology provider, are delighted to support the launch of PATAM’s competency, qualification and digital identity scheme on 6 November 2018.

The Professional Automotive and Transportation Accreditation Matrix (PATAM) Card Scheme provides a secure solution for organisations, individuals and associations requiring a cost-effective and innovative identity card. The PATAM Card Scheme provides a secure verification process, that captures registered individual’s qualifications and identity, which ultimately ensures complete confidence on an individual’s competence.

The PATAM Card Scheme, available as both a Virtual and Physical card, is setting the standard in how competency and qualifications are recorded, captured and visible across the appropriate audience. The scheme includes:

  • Record of competencies, qualifications and accreditations
  • Verified identity and driving licence check
  • Outstanding online driver awareness training
  • Fully GDPR compliant
  • Proof of company policies, insurances and licencing
  • A digital identity solution
  • Ability to update instantly

This enables members to securely store and surface data in real-time through a central solution to assist in meeting their responsibilities and duty of care. Reference Point’s technology and expertise underpins the capability behind the PATAM Card Scheme with its Gencarda solution, which is an off the shelf, web-based solution combining a powerful database that enables the management of an organisation’s data through issuing and managing both virtual and/or physical smartcards.

Gary Tucker, Chief Executive at PATAM, states: “Security and compliance are such critical factors in the automotive, logistics and recovery industry. The launch of the PATAM Card Scheme will allow our customers complete visibility across their workforce, which in turn offers them a full competency framework. Reference Point have considerable experience in developing solutions specifically around this area and with their technology underpinning this solution means they were our natural partner of choice.”

Beric Davis, Managing Director at Reference Point comments: “We are honoured PATAM sought our assistance in our Gencarda solution for its PATAM Card Scheme and are encouraged to see such a high level of interest. Our technology will provide real-time visibility of all drivers’ competency at the swipe of their PATAM card; giving total assurance the training and qualifications are valid and relevant.”
