Reference Point has been awarded ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management by QMS International, recognising its commitment to environmental sustainability. The accreditation process follows the standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to minimise any potential impact on global warming and the environment. It covers all aspects of the business and provides an Environmental Management System comprised of policies, processes, plans, practices and records which come together to ensure environmental best practice.
Bob Beman, Chief Technology Officer at Reference Point, managed the application process for 14001 and had this to say about the recent accreditation:
“We’re proud to have gained ISO 14001 certification in recognition of the excellent Environmental Management System we have put in place, which sets out our clear environmental objectives along with the policies and environmentally sound operating procedures necessary to achieve them. Maintaining compliance with the ISO 14001 standard underpins just how passionate we are at Reference Point about ensuring we operate our business and support our suppliers and customers to change the way we all operate our businesses in an effort to minimise our combined environmental impact on the planet and it’s natural resources.
Meeting the ISO 14001 standard is an achievement for the whole team and it reflects where our hearts and minds are at. Everyone here is fully committed to maintaining the standard, and we are all continuously looking for ways we can further improve our environmental performance to ensure the business continues to operate in the most sustainable possible way”.
Reference Point’s ISO 14001 accreditation is their third ISO accreditation, having also been awarded ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.
